Proud of Barnsley Nomination

I am absolutely blown away to be nominated for Proud of Barnsley for the category of Rapid Response.

I absolutely love the work that we do at eQuiPT and I really hope the nomination can help us to gain more support for the charity to enable us to raise more funds and help more local children and families.

We are still fundraising for the mum and three children who lost their dad tragically and if anyone can support further please get in touch, but for now I am feeling very humbled by this nomination. Thank you, Sandra x

Here’s the wording from the original article:

Therapist Sandra providing lifeline to traumatised children

By Molly Betts

A BARNSLEY therapist who helps children recover from trauma has been nominated for a Proud of Barnsley Award.

Sandra Georgeson, founder and manager of eQuiPT therapy services, has spent more than a decade supporting children and young people who have experienced domestic abuse, sexual abuse, neglect and other traumatic events.

Her work provides a vital lifeline for youngsters who may otherwise struggle to access specialist therapeutic support.

Sandra works closely with children, families, schools and other professionals, helping young people process their experiences and develop ways to cope with difficult emotions.

She has now been nominated for the Rapid Response Award at this year’s Proud of Barnsley Awards.

The award recognises individuals or organisations that have responded quickly and effectively to support people in times of urgent need.

Sandra’s nomination highlights her commitment to ensuring children receive therapeutic support when they need it most.

SUPPORT: Sandra Georgeson.
