Transition Packages from LAC to Permanency

My favourite work is preparing children in foster care to transition to adoption. I started a new transition piece with 2 siblings yesterday to include a CAPA assessment (Child Attachment and Play Assessment), Play Therapy to process early trauma and hopefully Filial Therapy and therapeutic parenting support once adopters are found. I stay with the children throughout this process and it's the most proactive and hopeful/ satisfying work. It's thanks to Barnsley Social Care for supporting me to do this early intervention work. First Play Therapy session yesterday and I couldn't get the children out of the Play Therapy room at the end. #PlayTherapy is a magical process for children.
