Biography
I’m Amy, a registered art therapist and artist.
I am passionate about supporting the mental health and wellbeing of people of all ages in their communities. I have a special interest in group work, and the impact of poverty and gender on mental health and wellbeing.
Working from a person and community centred perspective, it is important to me to work collaboratively with the teams, groups and individuals I am working with. It is my hope that the people I work with come away from our time together feeling empowered and connected (to themselves, others and their communities).
With a background in animation and scenic art, I worked in film, TV and animation for 10 years, before pursuing my lifelong dream of becoming an art therapist.
When I’m not working or art making, I enjoy cross-stitching, reading, going on scenic train journeys, building model railways, and dancing around the living room with my daughter.
