Biography
I am an HCPC and BAAT registered art psychotherapist with experience working across community services, schools, and organisations supporting children and young people affected by trauma and psychological distress.
My approach is grounded in the belief that art provides a steady and accessible way for individuals to express what may be difficult to articulate verbally. I integrate art-based methods with evidence-informed frameworks, including TF-CBT, to support emotional regulation, resilience, and the development of a coherent sense of self.
Having worked across different countries and languages, I place strong value on cultural competency and ensuring that children, young people, and their families feel represented and understood in the therapeutic process. Collaboration with caregivers and multi-disciplinary teams is a central part of my work, aiming to create a therapeutic space where individuals can explore their inner world at a pace that feels safe and manageable.
I continue and enjoy my own art practice alongside clinical work, supporting my connection to the creative processes that underpin art psychotherapy. My work is guided by the belief that every child and family deserves to be met as they are, and supported as they grow into the version of themselves they are ready to become.
